Blaine is an experienced manager with more than 30 years of business success in starting up, building and running companies in such diverse industries as automotive, manufacturing, medical devices and telecommunications. His multi-disciplinary background and experience brings to Protenergy a unique business perspective. He received his Degree from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.
Kevin brings over 20 years experience in food processing and distribution to his role as President of Protenergy. Having held executive leadership positions with Canada's largest bakery company and, more recently, a successful entrepreneurial enterprise, he is well positioned to guide the strategic direction and manage the operating performance of Protenergy. Kevin has been active in shaping the future of the industry having been an active member of numerous industry associations including a role as the Associate Member Council of CFIG.
Brent is responsible for setting the direction of Protenergy's Business Development strategy. His 15 years of consumer goods sales and marketing experience will benefit Protenergy as the company continues to aggressively grow sales through private label and co-pack initiatives in the global marketplace. Brent is building a business development team at Protenergy that understands and appreciates what is required to exceed the expectations of our retail and co-pack customers.
Scott brings 20 years of Corporate and Operational Quality Assurance experience in a wide variety of food and beverage organizations including some of the world’s largest. He has designed highly effective custom quality management systems that have been certified to both ISO 9001-2000 and FSEP HACCP. These systems have supported improved efficiency and product quality while reducing costs. He has developed and delivered customized training programs for corporate and manufacturing environments in areas including QMS, internal audit, sanitation and other location specific topics. Scott is a certified professional auditor. He uses this skill set to both train auditors and perform first and second party audits.
Ken brings to Protenergy Natural Foods Corp. extensive business and operations experience in the food and beverage and consumer products industries. He has held senior positions in Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality and General Management in large multinational corporations as well as smaller privately held companies. He is well versed in the branded as well as the private label business. His management style and hands on approach is well suited to provide the leadership needed to continue the growth the company has achieved. Ken has an Hon B.A.Sc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, an MBA from McMaster University and is a registered P. Eng.
David has over 20 years hands on accounting experience and has held management positions in two high growth charter airline start-up's and eight years as Director of Finance with a multi-billion dollar branded food service company. He brings the experience to implement Protenergy's internal systems, controls, and processes to help sustain the company's continued growth. David has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Windsor and a CMA designation from the Society of Management Accountants of Ontario
Bill began his career in the food industry in 1986. Through these 21 years he has gained experience in food processing and packaging across many facets of the industry including Project, Plant and Operations Management. Having worked for both Multi - National and smaller start up companies in low and high acid, fresh, ESL, and shelf stable environments and packaging formats he is well versed in all the technical, quality and managerial aspects of running a food manufacturing organization at the highest standards.
Steve graduated in 1980 from the University of Toronto with a degree in commerce and economics. Steve began his sales career with a large branded manufacturer and then transitioned to roles with smaller private label companies. Prior to joining Protenergy Steve was instrumental in generating significant private label sales for several successful companies. His work has crossed many categories including snack foods, coffee, confectionery, meat, and beverages.
Althea has over 20 years experience in the food processing industry. Her successes include new product development of low acid canned foods and aseptic beverages and broths. Her creativity and the expertise in product development and project management which she brings to Protenergy Foods are key contributors to our dynamic innovative environment. She has a PhD in food science and an MBA general management.
Mary has been with Protenergy since its inception and has been instrumental in its growth and development. She has had significant experience in the manufacturing sector and a broad base of accomplishments in administration, finance, logistics, purchasing and regulatory compliance. Mary is a skilled and valued member of the senior management team. She understands the value and need for systems and procedures. Through Mary’s leadership the foundation for various accreditations has been put in place including Protenergy’s C-TPAT certification.
