Blaine is an experienced manager with more than 30 years of business success in starting up, building and running companies in such diverse industries as automotive, manufacturing, medical devices and telecommunications. His multi-disciplinary background and experience brings to Protenergy a unique business perspective. He received his Degree from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.
Kevin brings over 20 years experience in food processing and distribution to his role as President of Protenergy. Having held executive leadership positions with Canada's largest bakery company and, more recently, a successful entrepreneurial enterprise, he is well positioned to guide the strategic direction and manage the operating performance of Protenergy. Kevin has been active in shaping the future of the industry having been an active member of numerous industry associations including a role as the Associate Member Council of CFIG.
Dan is the most recent addition to the leadership team, bringing a wealth of experience in manufacturing environments including Algoma Steel and CPI Plastics. Dan started his career at KPMG, is a C.A., and has extensive public company experience.
Brent is responsible for defining and executing Protenergy's business development strategy. His 20 years of consumer goods sales and marketing experience will benefit Protenergy as the company continues to demonstrate aggressive growth within retail brand partnerships and national brand co-pack. As the only manufacturer in North America dedicated to the development of carton technology within soups, sauces, gravies, and broths, Protenergy continues to innovate in regard to product development and supply chain efficiencies. Our business development strategy is built on two fundamental beliefs; that the time has come for retail brands to lead through innovation, quality, and value and that national brand owners can experience significant benefits from outsourcing the manufacturing component of their business while concentrating on building their brands.
Scott brings 20 years of Corporate and Operational Quality Assurance experience in a wide variety of food and beverage organizations including some of the world’s largest. He has designed highly effective custom quality management systems that have been certified to many international standards including ISO 9001-2000, SQF 2000, BRC and FSEP HACCP. These systems have supported improved efficiency and product quality while reducing costs. He has developed and delivered customized training programs for corporate and manufacturing environments in areas including QMS, internal audit, sanitation and other location specific topics. Scott is a RAB certified professional auditor and continues to train auditors and perform first and second party audits.
Ken has extensive business and operations experience in the food and beverage and consumer products industries. He has held senior positions in Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality and General Management in large multinational corporations as well as smaller privately held companies. He is well versed in the branded as well as the private label business. Ken is a registered Professional Engineer and holds an MBA
Bill began his career in the food industry in 1986 and has solid experience in food processing, packaging and distribution. Having worked for both multinational and smaller start up companies in low and high acid, processing, ESL, and shelf stable environments and packaging formats he is well versed in all the technical, quality and managerial aspects of running a food manufacturing organization at the highest standards. Bill is a certified Process Authority.
Althea has over 20 years experience in the food processing industry. Her successes include new product development of low acid canned foods and aseptic beverages and broths. Her creativity and the expertise in product development and project management, which she brings to Protenergy Foods, are key contributors to our dynamic innovative environment. She has a PhD in food science and an MBA general management.
Mary has been with Protenergy since its inception and has been instrumental in its growth and development. She has extensive experience and skills in cross border shipments, customs, NAFTA and logistics. This has allowed Protenergy to provide excellent customer service to our US based partners. Through her leadership and guidance, Protenergy, its carriers and warehouses are all C-TPAT certified giving our customers the confidence that their products have been produced, stored and transported under the securest of conditions.
